On July 03 2016, there was a transmission with the Alexanderson 200 kW alternator on VLF 17.2 kHz from Grimeton Radio/SAQ. In this mp3 audio file you hear the message that was broadcast in the Morse code: SAQ 17.2 kHz.mp3. I used a simple T-antenna from 50 metres long (without Balun!). On July 21, 2016 it was the Radio Mi Amigo Shortwave AM Radio Event of the Year! For this special occasion they sent not only from of their regular European 6005 kHz (49m band) and the 1485 AM (from Riga), but this live show was also be relayed to the world by a 100 kW shortwave transmitter in Armenia, on 11.850 kHz (25m band)! This powerful transmitter has 12 different directional antenna configurations and will be able to reach parts of the world outside Europe where normally she are not received. In December 2015 Belgian coast station Ostend Radio stopped its broadcasts from the antenna park in Middelkerke for good. In 2018 the park will be dismantled! All transmissions happening now from the antenna park in Wingene. On 22 and 23 January 2016 was there from the Middelkerke site a very last special broadcast to the world under the call OR0OST/P: OR0OST 7100 kHz LSB Middelkerke.mp3.
