Radio Caroline and Manx Radio celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2014.
Between November 17 and November 20 there were nightly broadcasts of Radio Caroline via the transmitter of Manx Radio on 1368 kHz. It was nice to hear again the Radio Caroline sounds on the good old medium wave: Radio Caroline-Manx Radio 50 years 1368 kHz.mp3. The address of Radio Caroline is: 424 Archway Road, Highgate, London N6 4JH, United Kingdom. The QSL address of Manx Radio is email@example.com.
I was happy to be able to hear the Voice Of America on 1530 kHz MW via the IBB transmitter in Pinheira, Sao Tomé, Sao Tome e Principe ( = a few small islands on the west coast of Africa near the Equator). A mp3 audio file is on: VOA Sao Tomé 1530 kHz.mp3. After 8 weeks my reception report was confirmed with a full detailed QSL-card. The report was sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
With the Beverage antenna toward Asia, I was lucky to hear in January (2015) The Cross Radio Station from The Federated States of Micronesia.
The exact frequency was 4755.570 kHz.
The transmitter (1kW) is located in Pohnpei State.
The address of the station is: Pacific Mission Aviation Radio Station, P.O. Box 517 Pohnpei, FM 96941, Federated States of Micronesia. More information for enthusiastic short wave listeners is on: http://www.pmapacific.org/ministries/radio/contact.php.
Radio Mi Amigo tested on 21 and 22 March on 9560 kHz via the transmitter in Kall, Germany. Reception reports were answered with a brandnew QSL card. QSL address: email@example.com.
